SelfiPool privacy policy
Last updated 17 September 2026.
Who we are
SelfiPool is a Shopify app operated by Elarix Dev Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17267063, at Unit 3, Twenty4 Secure Storage, Chelsea Close, Leeds, LS12 4HP, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the limited account data described below and a data processor for the store data we handle on a merchant's behalf.
The short version
- SelfiPool does not access, collect or store any customer personal data. It does not request access to orders or customers.
- It reads product and inventory information from the stores that install it, so that it can compare stock between them.
- It asks for read permissions when you install it. It changes nothing in your store until you switch syncing on and set a pool live. After that it writes one thing: the available quantity of the SKUs you have pooled, at the location you chose. It never creates or deletes products or variants, and it never changes stock when you uninstall.
- When you uninstall, we stop reading immediately and delete your store's data within 48 hours of Shopify's deletion request.
- We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.
What we collect
From your Shopify store, through the Shopify API
- Store details: the shop's myshopify domain, the permissions you granted, and the locations in your store (name and ID).
- Product catalogue: product and variant IDs, product and variant titles, SKUs, barcodes, whether inventory is tracked, whether selling continues when out of stock, unit cost and weight.
- Inventory figures for each variant at each location: available, on hand, committed, reserved, damaged, safety stock, quality control and incoming.
- Short records of the notifications Shopify sends us when products or inventory change (which item, which location, the new available figure and the time).
Access credentials
The access token Shopify issues when you install the app. It is encrypted before it is stored and is used only to read the data above.
Report and alert recipients
The email addresses you choose to add in Settings to receive the daily low-stock report and alert emails. They are used only to send those emails and are deleted with the rest of your store's data.
What we do not collect
No customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, order details or payment information.SelfiPool holds no Shopify protected customer data. It does not use cookies for tracking or analytics.
Why we use it
Only to provide the app: to find SKUs shared between variants and stores, report problems that would make shared stock unsafe, measure where stock figures disagree, and alert you. The lawful basis is performance of our contract with you, the merchant.
Where it is stored
On servers run by Fly.io in Amsterdam, in the European Union, in a managed PostgreSQL database. Data is encrypted in transit. If you choose to receive the low-stock report or alert emails, their content and the addresses you give us are passed to our email provider, Resend, solely to send them.
Stores in a network
If you pair two or more of your stores, each store in the network can see the product and inventory information of the others inside SelfiPool. Pairing needs a single-use code created by the main store, so only stores you control can join.
How long we keep it
- While the app is installed, catalogue and inventory figures are kept current and replaced as they change.
- Notification records are kept for up to 30 days.
- Resolved alerts, resolved SKU issues, daily drift summaries and the record of reports sent are kept for up to 13 months so you can compare trends.
- When you uninstall, we stop all reading at once and delete the access token. Shopify then sends a deletion request 48 hours later, and we delete all of your store's data when it arrives. Backups held by our database provider expire within their normal cycle.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about your store, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by emailing info@elarixdev.com. Because we hold no customer personal data, requests Shopify forwards on behalf of your customers are answered as holding nothing. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to authorised Elarix staff. Every notification from Shopify is checked for a valid signature before it is accepted. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and Shopify without undue delay.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
